In 1982, he and Adrian DeWindt founded the practice of DeWindt/Henry and Associates, Architectural and Planning Services. Before that, Michael Henry was a building contractor in the ski towns of Colorado during their boom in the early 70s. It was there that he developed his fundamental knowledge of the building trades through hands-on work in the practical execution of an architect's plans.
