Buena Vista Ranch - Adobe Barn Restoration Buena Vista, New Mexico
	Time and moisture had taken quite a toll on this historic old adobe structure located on the Buena Vista Ranch. The entire west wall had literally melted away from its bearing and many of the vigas had dry rot. The owner, faced not only with concernes about safety, but with a genuine appreciation for its historic value, decided to proceed with a restoration rather than tear it down. Fully 1/2 of the adobe walls had to be torn down and replaced from the foundation up. About 1/3 of the the vigas where replaced and to top it all off, a new roof structure was framed and finished with a galvinized metal roof. Thanks to the owners commitment to this wonderfull old building, it's usefull life has been extended for what could be another 130 years. The work has suspended for the summer but will resume in the fall.
