The Sieverinich Residence
Medenales, New Mexico

Chris Sievernich at left before the roof went on.

Pumice yard walls are being formed.
Conflicting solar orientation and dominant views of the Sangre de Cristo's to the east, led to an interesting change up of axis in this more contemporary residence.

Built high above the Rio Chama valley, the building is constructed of poured pumice and hewn beams. A detached bath house has a sauna, shower and Meditation Room with a sun filled intervening space between it and the Living Room.
